    DHCC Web-Based Training for Clinicians

     

    ·  PDH-CPG Training Briefs

    PDH-CPG Training Briefs are seven condensed (7-12 minute) training modules produced by the DoD Deployment Health Clinical Center. These modules were designed to provide clinicians with guidance on implementation of the DoD/VA Post-Deployment Health Clinical Practice Guideline (PDH-CPG).

    ·  Deployment Health Clinical Training Series

    Speaking primarily to providers, these clinical training modules provide comprehensive training on the DoD/ VA Post-Deployment Health Clinical Practice Guideline (PDH-CPG) (6 modules), the VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guideline for Management of Medically Unexplained Symptoms (MUS): Chronic Pain and Fatigue (1 module) and the VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guideline for Management of Major Depressive Disorder in Adults (1 module). In addition, there are five modules on important Health Concerns. This series was produced by the DoD Deployment Health Clinical Center. The modules range between 17 to 47 minutes long. Use of the information provided in this clinical training series will promote quality post-deployment healthcare.

    ·  Deployment Health Guest Lecturer Program


    The DoD Deployment Health Clinical Center is collaborating with various departments at Walter Reed Army Medical Center to sponsor the Deployment Health Guest Lecturer Series. The goal of the lecture series is to present clinical education on current and emerging deployment health issues and to foster interdisciplinary collaboration. Videotapes of some of the presentations have been posted at this site.

    • Evaluation of the U.S Army’s RESPECT-Mil Program, 12 Sep 08 New! (Review of the findings of the 2007 NQMP study of the Army’s RESPECT-Mil Program, which provides a systematic approach for identifying and managing Soldiers with depression and PTSD in the Primary Care Setting. This activity also looks at mental health issues among Service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, barriers to mental health care in the Military Health System and some of the major steps that have been taken to overcome those barriers, as well as Internet resources available for health care professionals and for Service members and their families.


    • Post-Deployment Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Screening, Sep 06. (Review of the findings of the NQMP 2005 Special Study on Post-Deployment Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Screen. Includes suggestions to help primary care providers identify patients as soon as possible who may need further evaluation or treatment and provides resource web links.)

     

    ·  Project Immune Readiness

     

    A web-based learning module about specific vaccines. The training was developed by the Walter Reed National Vaccine Healthcare Centers Network and produced by Healthsoft, Inc.
