2010 Deployment Healthcare Track Workshop

DHCC is sponsoring the following Workshop at the FHP Conference:

Promoting Quality and Synergy in Combat Trauma Spectrum Programs
8 August 2010 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Recent research indicates that many service members returning from combat deployments supporting our current wars need specialized care for their trauma related functional syndromes. Within the last few years, several intensive outpatient PTSD programs have developed that provide an integrative multi-modal model of care. All provide a blend of evidence based interventions such as exposure therapy and various CAM modalities. Yet, these programs haven’t had a forum in which to share information and collaborate. For the first time, this one day workshop will bring these programs together to promote collaboration and information sharing, standardization of outcome measures and create a common data base, determine need for multicenter study, identify needs of each program regarding staffing and other resources, gain information about existing programmatic research, and identify existing geographical gaps in tertiary integrative care programs for comat related post traumatic stress. Information about all 2010 FHP Conference Workshops can be found by clicking here.
